1. Hardness

Usually, the better the material, the higher the hardness achieved by quenching. If ordinary materials are quenched to a high hardness, it will damage the toughness of the round blade and cause the blade edge to crack. So the quenching hardness of round blades must depend on the material. The hardness of the circular blade should be much greater than that of the cutting material, and the quenching range for heat treatment is generally HRC55-60 °.

2. Wear resistance

The wear resistance of a blade is directly proportional to its hardness. The better the material used for a circular blade, the higher its hardness, and the better its wear resistance.

3. Heat resistance

Heat resistance refers to the ability of steel to maintain hardness, toughness, strength, and wear resistance in high temperature environments generated at high speeds. The quality of round blades is usually measured by the red hardness of steel, and the higher the red hardness, the higher the cutting speed of the material.

4. Stability

Stability refers to the degree to which the crystal of the cutting blade material changes during blade heat treatment. At present, the heat treatment methods for cutting knife include vacuum quenching, salt bath quenching, electric furnace quenching, etc. Different quenching methods have a significant impact on the stability of blade materials.
